How long does it take to build a custom home?
It takes generally 4 to 6 months, depending on the size of the home and how customized it is. Also, it depends on mother nature and what she allows, whether we are working with city code enforcement and permitting and inspectors. The country homes that I deal with the county typically go twice as fast. I still use a third-party inspector, but they work for us and the client and help move things along without waiting on approvals and review like the city does.
